The short version
Just Glance does not collect your camera footage, your camera addresses, or your credentials. Your cameras stay on your network. Always.
What we collect
By default, Just Glance collects nothing. The app operates entirely on your local network and device.
If you opt in to crash reporting during onboarding, we may receive anonymous crash logs containing your device model and iOS version. No camera data, no addresses, no names, no credentials are ever included.
Camera credentials
All camera usernames and passwords are stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain on your device. They are never transmitted to any server, never included in any backup that leaves your device, and never logged.
Camera streams and snapshots
Camera streams are decoded and displayed on your device only. Snapshots are stored in your device's local App Group container for widget display. Neither streams nor snapshots are uploaded to any server.
Push notifications (Pro)
Pro users can enable motion alert notifications. To deliver these, your device's push token is registered with our notification service. Only the push token is stored — no camera addresses, no images, no credentials. The notification payload contains a wake signal only; your device fetches the snapshot locally.
Analytics
No analytics are collected without your explicit opt-in. If you opt in, only anonymous usage data (feature usage counts, not content) is collected. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings.
