My camera won't connect

Check that your camera is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone. Just Glance only works on your local network — it doesn't connect over the internet.

If your camera requires a username and password, make sure you've entered them correctly. Most cameras default to "admin" as the username.

The widget isn't updating

Widgets refresh on a schedule managed by iOS — typically every 15–30 minutes. To refresh immediately, tap the refresh button on the widget (iOS 17 and later). You can also open Just Glance to trigger a fresh snapshot fetch.

Just Glance can't find my cameras automatically

Auto-discovery works for ONVIF cameras on your local network. If your camera doesn't appear, try adding it manually using its IP address. You can find your camera's IP address in your router's connected devices list.

Remote access

Just Glance connects to cameras on your local network only. For remote access, connect your iPhone to your home network via VPN — Tailscale and WireGuard both work well. Your camera footage never routes through our servers.
